Korea Football Association welcomes alumna as first female Vice-President

Eunah Hong, known as Una Hong, an Associate Professor of Sport Management and Policy at Ewha Woman University, has been appointed as the Vice-President of the Korea Football Association.

In her new role Una will be responsible for the administration of women’s football and referees.

Professor Hong, who is a former football referee, became the youngest Korean international referee in 2003. She went on to referee several high-profile games and tournaments throughout her refereeing career, including the 2010 England Women’s FA Cup final and matches at the Olympic games in 2008 and 2012.

Since retiring from refereeing, Una has continued her involvement in football and is a FIFA referee instructor.

Una Hong graduated with a PhD in Sport and Exercise Science in 2010.
