Find out about legacies during this national Free Wills Month

A student chats to an alumna. Other people are behind them and around the room.

In our recent alumni survey, many alumni requested information about leaving a legacy gift to the University in their Will.

March is Free Wills Month, where some big charities collaborate with solicitors to offer free Will writing and updating services, so what better time to find out more than now?

Gifts in Wills are so significant to the University, with £1 in every £5 donated being from legacies. We are extremely grateful for the gifts we receive.

Legacies contribute to the progress that the University makes, and generous donors can become part of the Loughborough experience for generations to come, providing students with the opportunity to be involved in all that the University has to offer.

Gifts support students in need. Connor (pictured), an Industrial Design student, was the recipient of a legacy scholarship. He said:

"Words cannot explain how honoured I am to receive this scholarship. I do believe that this will change my life. The scholarship will help me lighten my financial burden which I will face as a student. This will allow me to focus more on achieving the highest award I can in my degree and becoming the professional designer I have always dreamed of being since I was a little boy.''
