Environmentally friendly face mask company set up by alumnus

Rach Sharma set up Idzn Futuristic Designs, a company that creates and sells face coverings using waste or scrap material, to minimise harm they do to the environment.

The pandemic highlighted to the alumna that lots of face coverings available contained single use plastics.

The alumnus' company has developed masks which are handmade using organic recycled material and vegetable dye. They are reusable and all printing and packaging is done using recycled bags and paper.

Rach hopes his company can offer a suitable sustainable alternative to masks containing single use plastic.

Rach graduated with a degree in Sports Technology in 2015.
