Alumnus brings innovation to construction consultancy

Gary Fisher graduated with a degree in Commercial Management and Quantity Surveying in 1998. He has recently set up Mode Consulting with a vision to transform consulting within the construction industry.

Having worked for major corporate organisations, Gary set up Mode in 2019 to develop a consultancy that recognises all members of staff as equals – regardless of level or job title. Loughborough peer Stuart Williams has also supported Gary in the set up of Mode.

With a passion for maintaining a connection with local construction markets and for adding a personal touch, Mode will work with clients, and not for them. Their approach means consultants can become an extension of their clients’ staff, whilst being agile and flexible additions to their teams.

Gary is aiming to develop Mode as a project management and quantity surveying consultancy, with the potential to expand into development or contracting in the future.

Alongside an innovative take on consulting, Gary wants to set up the Mode Academy and take on students and graduates to support the careers of young people and develop soft skills.
