Alumnus Grant is the former Head of Operations for Excel Esports, a British competitive gaming brand. Last year the BBC spent six months following him and the team to understand what goes into running an Esports organisation.
Grant graduated from Loughborough in 2016 with a degree in Chemical Engineering and Business Management. He began his post-university career at EY, before moving into the Esports industry. Since then, he has worked at many major Esports organisations, such as Counter Logic Gaming and Splyce Inc.
In November 2020, he joined Guild Esports, as Director of Esports. Guild, part-owned by David Beckham, is the only UK Esports organisation currently listed on the UK Stock market.
The first episode of Fight for First: Excel Esports will air on Wednesday 13 January on BBC1 and will be available on-demand on BBC iPlayer on Sunday 10 January.
