Inspiring the next generation of the Loughborough family
University Open Days and Inspiring Minds events have undergone many changes in recent weeks due to social distancing measures.
Events have been altered to be made accessible online – and 13 alumni have supported these online events by sharing their experiences.
The School and College Liaison team held Inspiring Minds online for STEM subjects and Social Sciences and Humanities over June and July.
The two events were attended by hundreds of 16-17-year olds from across the country who are considering their higher education options.
Paul Brough and Pooja Godhania supported the STEM event, sharing their experiences in Computer Science and Civil Engineering, respectively.
Si Chun Lam, Keely Mills, Hershil Patel, Luke Stott and Benjamin Watts all supported the Social Sciences and Humanities event, representing the public sector, geography, education, marketing, and radio.
All seven alumni who contributed to the Inspiring Minds events filmed videos or presentations discussing their Loughborough experiences and careers so far.
A further six alumni (pictured) sent messages about studying at the University, to be shared with prospective students and their families at the online Open Days, which took place in late June.
Dana Nassif, Juliana Chua, Rob Forster, Martin Sexton, Khalil Rener and Oliver Sidwell all chatted about halls, their courses, extra-curricular opportunities, and Loughborough life in their videos.
Thank you to all alumni who contributed.
