Ian’s podcast talks all things sport, wellbeing and overcoming barriers
Alumnus Ian Scarrott, Owner and Head Coach at TriClub, has recently launched a podcast to chat with sportspeople.
Ian, who graduated with a degree in European and International Studies in 2006, founded his company TriClub in 2016 to offer athletes triathlon coaching.
He launched his podcast “Sport & Mental Health” this year to chat with a range of professional athletes and people working in the sports industry.
In each episode, “Ian Meets…” individuals to discuss their sporting and personal journeys as well as chatting about wellbeing and overcoming any barriers that they may face.
In the latest episode, Ian interviewed fellow Loughborough alumnus and Senior Welsh National High Jump Champion, Jon Bailey (Physics 2018) on the podcast. They discuss balancing a full-time job with athletics and staying physically and mentally well.
Alumna Naomi Light (Multi Media Textiles 2004), Clinical Hypnotherapist and Leadership Coach, has also chatted on the podcast about her journey through a breakdown, using exercise to return to “normal” and becoming a fitter and healthier person.
The podcast is available on YouTube, the TriClub website and other podcast apps.
