British Council Alumni Awards open for nominations from international alumni
These prestigious awards celebrate alumni from around the world who have used their UK education to make a difference in their professions, communities, and countries.
There are three main award categories: Professional Achievement Award, Entrepreneurial Award and Social Impact Award.
Shortlisted in 2019 for an award in the Professional Achievement category was alumnus Dr Bader Shafaqu Al-Anzi, who graduated from Loughborough in 2007 with a PhD in Chemical Engineering. He went on to experience great success and is now the Environmental Technologies and Management Chairman. Bader is also a researcher at Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Previous winners of British Council Alumni Awards include Dr Terence Yeo who received the Entrepreneurial Award in 2017 and Dr Mavis Asare who was awarded with the Professional Achievement Award in 2018.
Nominations for the 2020/21 awards are now open and will close on 30 October 2020. All alumni living outside the UK, who have graduated from a UK university within the last 15 years are eligible. For full details on participating countries and deadlines, please check the British Council website.
