Book published on former Senior Lecturer’s artwork

Clare Hale has spent three years researching and writing a book about her father, Ken Padley (1926 – 2006), former Head of Photography and Senior Lecturer in the Faculty of Fine Art at Loughborough College of Art & Design.

The book, KW PADLEY FBIPP, FRPS, FRSA. Naturalist, Photographer and Wildlife Artist, contains a chapter on Ken’s time at Loughborough, describing his interest and educational role in photography and its progression into fine art.

Clare began researching for the book in 2017 and has created an extensive catalogue of her father’s artwork, including original paintings, limited edition prints, transparencies and negatives. The best of the images were professionally scanned to create digital files for reproduction.

An exhibition and sale of Ken’s paintings, pencil drawings, prints, creative and wildlife photographs and sculptures, originally planned for April, will take place in The Garden Room in Saffron Walden, Essex on 3 October 2020.

The book is now available online.

More of Ken’s work can be found on his website.
