Alumna supports Kendal and Cumbria during Coronavirus pandemic
Jacquetta, from Kendal in the Lake District, is secretary of the local Buddhist Group of Kendal (Theravada).
She is the Lead for Interfaith and Multifaith for South Lakeland Equality and Diversity Partnership (SLEDP) and represents them on the Kendal Integrated Care Community.
Highly active in her local community, Jacquetta represented minority faiths on the South Lakeland Hub Recovery Group after Storm Desmond in 2015.
The experience she gained in the group led to her being invited to join the Cumbria BSP Bereavement Support Partnership Group during the Covid-19 pandemic. She is a Buddhist contact for Cumbria County Council Emergency Planning. She has also joined focus groups organised by Faith Action to feed into the Ministry for Housing, Communities and Local Government’s Places of Worship Task Force.
Graduating with an MLS in 1978, Jacquetta studied Library and Information Studies.
