Alumna makes Top 100 Rising Stars shortlist
Nerissa Prawiro has been shortlisted for the WeAreTheCity Top 100 Rising Stars Award 2020 in the Technology Category. The award recognises women who are making a difference and succeeding in their respective sectors.
The aim of the awards is to recognise and celebrate 100 female role models and individual contributors across a variety of different industries who represent future leaders.
The alumna was nominated for the award by a Managing Director in Engineering at Goldman Sachs, where she currently works, for her high performance as a User Experience (UX) Engineer.
Nerissa has also designed a personalised automated diet management system that provides a real-time handheld analysis of calories and micronutrients in food, which won the RSA Student Design Award in 2017.
Additionally, she has also designed a wearable technological device to suppress wrist tremors in the young onset of Parkinson’s disease patients, which won the Red Dot Design: Honorable Mention Award in 2014.
Both of her award-winning designs have contributed towards her Top 100 Rising Stars Award nomination, through applying technology for social good.
Nerissa graduated with a degree in Industrial Design and Technology in 2017.
The award winner will be announced on 11 May.
Congratulations to Nerissa.
