Alumnus start-up partners with London Triathlon
Founded by Chris Ruddock, INCUS Performance, is officially collaborating with the London Triathlon 2019 to use its wearable analytic technology for the first time in a race scenario.
Chris graduated in 2016 with a MEng in Product Design Engineering and has since developed INCUS on the Loughborough University Science and Enterprise Park.
The Triathlon, taking place from the 27-28 July, will see the debut of INCUS | NOVA, dubbed as the first wearable to combine quality data capture with simple-to-understand analytics for swimmers and triathletes.
Several athletes will trial the technology, and will receive advanced feedback and analysis in the form of an interactive race report from the INCUS platform.
Speaking about the partnership, Chris said: “After years of development and validation with our athlete and club network in a training environment, we’re really excited to finally show off the capabilities of the INCUS | NOVA in a race scenario at the London Triathlon.
“Swimming has been left in the dark when it comes to quality wearable technology. The NOVA signifies a new era in wearable analytics, combining quality measurement with easy-to-apply analysis.
“We’re looking forward to offering swimmers and triathletes at the London Triathlon an opportunity to experience the power of INCUS analytics and to explore their story through data.”
Chris recently had his success recognised at the Loughborough Enterprise Awards, where he was awarded an Outstanding Potential Award alongside Alcuris’ Alex Nash in May.
We wish Chris and INCUS Performance the best of luck at the event.
