Alumna opens bespoke stationery shop in London
Katie Leamon recently opened her brand-new shop, named after her, in Belgravia, London.
Realising her dream to bring together like-minded stationery lovers, Katie offers a range of greetings cards, stationery, gift wrap and curated gifts.
Having graduated in 2007 with a degree in Woven Textiles, Katie became a womenswear designer, and was inspired to create her own brand in 2010.
She found success through an open call by Liberty London, who became her first stockist. This set her on a path to expand and to stock products in stores such as Selfridges and Harrods over the next few years.
She brought her family into the fold, working with her sister and mother to pack and print cards, and eventually the team grew to 10, and included Katie’s partner Ruairi by 2015.
The company has grown from a kitchen table, through to a studio and now to its own retail space and current stockists include John Lewis, Waterstones and Oliver Bonas. The products have also had press coverage in Vogue, The Guardian and Stylist.
“I am so excited to finally bring to life the dream of curating our own little haven of paper. The shop has a lot to offer those seeking a little respite from our fast-paced digital world.”
As well as one-off purchases, customers can subscribe to receive monthly stationery packages through the post and can also get involved in workshops to learn about printing.
The shop, Katie Leamon, can be found on Elizabeth Street, Belgravia and is open 10am-6pm, Monday-Saturday.
