Alumna chosen to be part of the next generation of international sport leaders
Helen Rowbotham has been selected to be a part of UK Sport’s International Leadership Programme (ILP), which aims to ensure the UK has a strong voice across international sport.
Helen, who is a Non-Executive Director at the British Paralympic Association, is one of 15 to be chosen in the ILP’s 10th instalment. Joining her on the programme are figures from across British sport’s governing bodies, including the Football Association, British Athletics and England Hockey.
The ILP is a year-long course containing tailored modules, workshops and seminars, covering major sporting themes.
It has over 100 alumni, with participants being either key sports administrators or retired athletes working in national sport governing bodies. The combined knowledge and experience of those who complete the programme help to positively develop and govern international sport.
Helen graduated in 1998 with a BSc in Recreation Management, and also works as Director of Innovation at British Rowing.
Congratulations to Helen on her achievement.
