A second successful pre-departure meeting held in Guangzhou, China

On Saturday 9 March, Loughborough alumni from Guangzhou, China gathered at the Garden Hotel for the second University pre-departure briefing.

These events aim to give a warm welcome to prospective international students and offer holders, while encouraging them to choose Loughborough for their UK studies. Almost 200 people, including parents, attended this popular event.

Simon Foster, Deputy Director of the International Office, delivered an informative presentation on the enrolment process.

An expert panel, consisting of eight alumni, then lead a question and answer session. Alumni were delighted to share their positive experiences of Loughborough and enjoyed offering their advice on the UK student experience.

Patrick Lee, President of the Hong Kong Alumni Association, supported at the event and comments “the students were left feeling more confident in their ability to adjust to the University life”.

Thank you to all eight alumni for providing time and expertise.
