Houzz award for designer alumna
Alumna Emma Britton has won ‘Best of Customer Service’ on Houzz for her decorative glass design business for the third consecutive year.
Emma, who graduated from Loughborough with a degree in Printed Textiles in 2008, designs bespoke decorative glass splashbacks and homeware.
Emma set up her business in 2010 and creates her designs from her cabin studio in Nottingham. She did so with the help of Loughborough University’s Student Enterprise team and Enterprise Inc, a scheme supporting students and graduates in the East Midlands in setting up their new businesses.
Houzz is a leading online platform for home renovation and design. The ‘Best of Customer Service’ award from Houzz recognises Emma’s commitment to an online community of homeowners and design enthusiasts, as voted by over 40 million unique monthly Houzz users.
Emma’s designs have been exhibited nationally and internationally, including Maison et Objet in Paris. As well as offering a bespoke design service, her customers include kitchen companies, interior designers, retailers and architects.
Inspired by patterns found in the natural environment, Emma’s products include kitchen splashbacks with matching glassware, trays and tea towels.
Emma’s latest collection will be launched at the Royal Horticultural Society’s Chatsworth Flower Show this summer.
