Enjoyable Reunion for graduates of 1978-88

This years' Annual Alumni Reunion welcomed guests who graduated 30-40 years ago back to the Loughborough campus on 13 October.

Over 80 alumni, guests and staff took part in the weekend which included a range of tours, talks and a Gala Dinner.

Particular highlights over the weekend included a visit to STEMLab and a peak behind the scenes into the University archives.

Guests heard from Alumni Association President, Paul Drummond and Students' Union President, Rahul Mathasing over the weekend. Paul and Rahul gave insights into the Alumni Association and the Students' Union respectively, and guests heard much about what life is like as a student today.

Alumni enjoyed a Gala Dinner in the evening at the West Park Teaching Hub on campus. Usually an area for education and a cup of coffee between lectures, the building was transformed for the evening, giving guests the chance to enjoy dinner in a newly refurbished part of the campus. The group were entertained by local musicians, Ska-Amanga and also had the opportunity to take to the dance floor after dinner with old friends.

Alumni travelled from across the UK and the world to be part of this memorable occasion.

We look forward to welcoming alumni back to campus again for a range of events over the next year. Find out more.
