Alumnus prepares for play’s London return
Jack Donald is preparing to take his debut production back to London for the second time after its first performance in December 2018.
His play, 'A Sticky Season' will be performed at Kensington's Drayton Arms Theatre from 19 - 23 March, as part of the theatre's 'Exciting Evening of Queer Theatre'. The show features three productions, with Jack's the first of the triple bill.
The play, inspired by the Beat Generation, draws on jazz and poetry to explain the lives of two young gay men, facing the effects of changes in both law and attitude. after a week-long run at Covent Garden's Tristen Bates Theatre last year.
The show was one of 16 to be performed at the 2018 Maiden Speech Festival alongside fellow alumni Keeley Lane, who performed her own show, ‘Me, Mum and the Patriarchy’.
Jack, who graduated in 2017 with a BA in English and Drama.
