Alumni from India reunite in New Delhi and Mumbai
In recent months, alumni in India have held two successful reunions, showing just how strong the Loughborough bond can be.
The group tend to have a city meet once a month, with approximately 7-10 alumni in attendance. A gathering took place in New Delhi on 24 March and a second was hosted in Mumbai on 8 April.
Alumni in this chapter are very dedicated to their reunions and some undertake extensive road trips, travelling 500km from Lucknow to Delhi to attend. They enjoy socialising over a meal and drinks, and sharing their diverse experiences at Loughborough.
Group members range from young, recent graduates to the more senior alumni, over the age of 75. The elder generation are always eager to meet new graduates and to learn about the changes that have taken place at the University.
Between meetings, alumni keep in touch through social media, using WhatsApp and Facebook to communicate and organise future events. Indian alumni also use this platform to stay in contact with alumni from other countries to grow their network.
The group are planning to host another event in Bangalore on Saturday 19 May. Make sure your contact details are up-to-date so that you don’t miss your invite.
