Alumnae star in Loughborough feature film
Five alumnae star in Do Something, Jake, a feature film shot in and around Loughborough.
This is the debut film by James Smith and Caroline Spence of Raya Films. Shot on a zero budget, Do Something, Jake is a UK crime thriller supported by Hollywood-inspired screenwriting and cinematography.
It was shot with the help of local businesses, film-enthusiasts, a charity for disadvantaged children and local students and graduates - including five alumnae.
Shenine Rajakarunanayake (Chemical Engineering, 2016), Izzy Stewart (Drama with English, 2016), Abbey Gardner (English and Drama, 2016), Francesca Rice (Drama, 2015) and Nicole Coggle (Drama, 2017) all feature in a scene set in an employment agency as staff and clients. They are also joined by two current students, Jameel Shariff and Rahul Mathasing.
Raya Films is now crowdfunding to support the release of Do Something, Jake in UK cinemas later this year.
