Duo of alumni begin their snowboarding Kickstarter campaign

Two Loughborough alumni, William Tickner and Alice Green have launched a Kickstarter campaign to raise investment for their new product: PowDaze.

PowDaze is a snowboard add-on to be used together with twin and directional twin snowboards. It increases float when snowboarding on powder, overcoming performance issues with mainstream boards.

William graduated from Sports Technology in 2015, and during his time at Loughborough he competed for AU Sno, earning the ‘Sportsman of the Year’ accolade in his final year. He met Alice, Materials Science and Technology 2015 alumna at Loughborough and they spent 3 months travelling and snowboarding around Japan together following their graduation.

It was this trip that inspired the idea for their new product, and upon their return, ‘ALLWINTER Snowboarding’ was born and they began work on the first concepts of PowDaze.

The kickstarter campaign is now live. Find out more online and follow their progress on twitter and facebook.
