Alumnus celebrates 400 international hockey appearances

GB and England Hockey star Barry Middleton has reached his 400th international hockey appearance.

After making his international debut in April 2003, Barry achieved this landmark at England’s 2-2 draw with Australia at the World League Finals on 4 December 2017.

Throughout his 14 year career, Barry has represented Great Britain in 4 Olympic Games, and England at 3 World Cups and 8 European Championships.

He is Great Britain and England’s most capped hockey player, and has tallied 113 goals in his 400 appearances.

Barry graduated from Loughborough with a degree in Sport and Exercise Science in 2008.
