Calling Loughborough Railway Society alumni to reunite
In the late 1960s and early 1970s, the University had a Railway Society. Mechanical Engineering alumnus, Geoffrey Dust (1970) continues to reunite fellow Railway Society alumni at heritage railway sites in England.
Having held their first reunion in 2013 at the Ecclesbourne Railway in Derbyshire, the group went on to meet again at Loughborough’s Great Central Railway in 2014. In 2015, the group met at the Severn Valley Railway in Kidderminster, and most recently met again in June 2016 at the Worth Valley Railway in Keighley.
Some members of the group took a picture on their trip to Keighley in June, replicating that of a photo that they took on a similar trip back in February of 1970:

Having made the reunions a regular event, the group would be interested in meeting up again with anyone who remembers them or was part of the Railway Society at the time for a 2017 reunion. New members are also welcome to join the railway reunion group.
