Alumnus prints second edition of Jungle Magazine
Ali Foroughi studied Mechanical Engineering at Loughborough University. Following his graduation in 2014, Ali went on to work with The Studio on campus, building up the foundations of his own magazine - Jungle.
With a flair for creativity, photography and design work, Ali moved away from Engineering to become the Editor-in-Chief of Jungle, working to create a bi-annual coffee table magazine.
The magazine focuses on fashion and culture, working alongside artists and creatives to inspire and empower readers through creativity. Fellow Loughborough graduates also work on Jungle as part of the editorial team.
After a successful first edition, the second was released on 28 October 2016. In collaboration with the mental health charity Mind, edition 2 has an editorial focussed on the stigma surrounding mental health issues. Due to the theme of introspection, other editorials within the second edition also touch on the subject of mental health.
Jungle say: “We attempt to highlight those who have directed their emotions, thoughts and vulnerabilities into creating great art and stories”.
Each edition is printed with three different covers, featuring different models, musicians and artists’ work. The second edition of the coffee table magazine looks at introspection, exploration of one’s conscious thoughts and feelings.
