A panel of academics and alumni will share their experiences and insights into innovation.
From the University’s Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Professor Mat Hughes, Professor of Entrepreneurship and Innovation, and Dr Simone Corsi, Lecturer in International Business, Strategy, and Innovation, will chair a discussion with five alumni innovators.
Our alumni panellists are:
Orianna Acheampong and Anthonia Ademuyiwa, Co-Founders at Iséda’s Garden
Alumnae duo Orianna and Anthonia offer a range of beauty treatments for people in North West London. Using their degrees in Chemistry, they have leveraged their scientific and research backgrounds in their approach to sourcing components in their beauty products and treatments. Through their work, they educate and offer a range of treatments, including "Glowology" tanning, specifically for skin naturally enriched with melanin.
Martin Gossling, CEO at 270 Vision
Martin has had numerous patents granted in various design fields including medical devices such as wearable motion sensors and technology used by clinicians in remote patient assessment.
Benjamin Ndubuisi, Founder at VING. AI
VING. AI is a secure currency exchange platform for Africans living in the UK. The exchange takes place via an escrow engine, allowing individuals to find a match and safely exchange currency at mutually agreed rates. Benjamin has recently been recognised with a Young Innovator Award for his work.
James Roberts, Founder at mOm Incubators
James has developed an inexpensive, electronically controlled inflatable incubator constructed to decrease the number of premature child deaths around the world. His MedTech start-up is on a mission to accelerate access to high-quality healthcare worldwide.
