Yasamin Fozouni
BEng Electronic and Electrical Engineering, 2014

Yasamin moved to Loughborough from Iran when she was 17. After a year of studying a Science Foundation programme at Loughborough College and University, she went on to study a BEng Electronic and Electrical Engineering degree and graduated in 2014.
Yasamin now lives in Dallas, USA, where she is working on her PhD in Computer Science. She is a big supporter of women in STEM careers.
The alumna is keen on organising regular reunions and working opportunities for alumni in the USA. She has attended VC receptions in New York City and is in touch with many of alumni she met at these events.
Whilst on the board Yasamin has been involved with the Winter Graduation 2020 video and has recently supported an Athena STEM project, which aims to encourage students who identify as female to consider a routes into STEM subjects and careers.
Yasamin started a three-year term on the AAB on 1 September 2020.
