Gas

Gas consumption in 2012/13 was 81 million kwh.

This is gas used in the boiler plants that serve the campus for heating and hot water.

The University also has 3 Combined Heat and Power (CHP) plants which supply electricity, heat and hot water to some areas of campus. To find out more click here» .

Loughborough University has a national reputation for taking action on environmental issues. To continue this, we have re-launched our sustainability awareness campaign entitled ‘It’s Better OFF’ to raise awareness about climate change and its causes as well as the practical things we can all do to improve our environment.
