It's Better OFF - Environmental champions
Environmental Champions will promote the It's Better OFF campaign in their geographical or departmental area of the University.
Environmental Champions are volunteers whose role will comprise encouraging and advising colleagues on specific measures to save energy, water and enable sustainability as well as reporting on opportunities for savings and initiatives to the Environmental Campaign Team.
Environmental Champions are absolutely vital to the success of It's Better OFF. They act as the 'eyes and ears' of the Environmental Campaign Team in their local area as well as acting as a conduit for campaign materials and initiatives.
All Environmental Champions will be able to attend a short (3 hour) training session which will explain the campaign and its goals, emphasise the importance of the Environmental Champions' role and discuss how savings can be achieved. Following this training, the time demand required to achieve maximum impact is low.
