Why did you choose Loughborough University?

I chose Loughborough because the University was in good position on the league table and the sporting facilities were excellent. Plus, the department also offered the joint honours combination I was looking for.

What do you enjoy about your course?

I’ve really enjoyed the independent research side of things and the opportunity to think and discover things for yourself.

What do you think of the teaching quality and support from the University?

The lecturers are great and supportive throughout my time here. The Careers and Employability Centre has also been really helpful, encouraging me to find my placement and then supporting me in the lead up and during my placement.

Have you done a professional placement?

I did a placement year in Finance. It was a fantastic opportunity because it was not directly linked to my degree and gave me new insight. I gained a lot of invaluable experience during my placement year.

What do you hope to do when you graduate?

I’d like to go into a similar career that I did for my placement. The Careers and Employability Centre has helped me during my job search.

What would you say to someone considering your course?

Apply and you will not regret it!

How do you find the social atmosphere on campus?

I think the atmosphere here at Loughborough is great. It’s friendly both within the department and socially.

Has Loughborough inspired you?

Yes, Loughborough has inspired me throughout my time here, encouraging me to volunteer in my second year, to be more active and engage with the community.
