“I really enjoy that everyone is all together on campus and you feel like you’re part of a huge family. There is no feeling quite like being in the Loughborough Bubble.”

Year of Study

BSc (Hons)

Why did you choose Loughborough University?

The course looked incredibly interesting, especially the optional modules, and I knew that it would be the perfect platform to build my future career on. The University provides such great opportunities alongside a grade A education and the department in particular is one of the best in the country for what it does, not only education wise, but also with the chance of fantastic placements.

What do you enjoy about your course?

I enjoy the broadness of topics we have covered so far, however there is always enough detail on each topic to make you sure you are learning more than enough! The content is great and you wake up every day wanting to go to your next lecture.

I particularly enjoyed one of my optional modules, communication and media studies. It’s something that is very different to what I expected but I’ve had a chance to learn something completely new and it has expanded my view on so many things.

What do you think of the teaching quality and facilities?

Have you had any support from the University?

Tutors and lecturers are always there to support you, whether it’s a call or an email you know you can always get great advice from them.

What do you like that’s different about your course?

There are fantastic placement opportunities between your second and third year.

What do you hope to do when you graduate?

I hope to begin working for the police force and specialise in a serious and serial crime department. The knowledge I will gain from my course is a fantastic basis to continue my training in further employment.

What would you say to someone considering your course?

You will have no regrets studying at Loughborough, the course is amazing and so are the people and atmosphere here!

How do you find the social atmosphere on campus?

Beyond what I expected. I play IMS sport and I am a part of my Hall Committee. The opportunities are endless. I really enjoy just being on campus, everyone is all together and you feel like you’re part of a huge family. There is no feeling quite like being in the Loughborough Bubble.
