Why did you choose Loughborough University?
The course structure and content appealed to me as it included several modules I was interested in and that other universities did not offer. The learning experience was different.

Loughborough University is recognised for its excellent employability and is ranked highly for Computer Science.
What do you enjoy about your course?
The course offers many opportunities to participate in various events or studies that enhance knowledge. I have enjoyed being taught to code in several programming languages and becoming familiar with different software.
What do you think of the teaching quality and facilities?
Lecturers are supportive and provide guidance during out of lecture hours if needed. Support is provided during labs.
Do you have a particularly favourite project/module on your course? Why did you enjoy it?
I enjoy several modules due to the way that the lectures are delivered. Lecturers engage with students to make learning more interesting or attempt different methods of teaching to help us understand the content more.
What are some of the exciting/different things you can do on your course?
I have learnt to code in several programming languages, which enables me to create different systems. It has also been really interesting to learn about how technology itself has advanced so rapidly.
What would you say to someone considering your course?
It is an interesting and challenging course that is intriguing and enjoyable. If you are interested in how technology has advanced or computer systems, or would like to know how hardware or systems are built, this is the right course for you.
What do you enjoy the most about being a Loughborough University student?
Recognition of the University and that it is known for its outstanding sports. Loughborough University engages as many students as possible in societies or clubs, so you're always involved in something.
Has Loughborough inspired you?
As a female studying a male-dominated course it can be slightly intimidating, but inspiration from lecturers and my studies has given me the skills and confidence that I need to perform and achieve. I have learnt that gender doesn't matter – whatever degree you study, as long as you're interested and motivated then nothing can stop you from achieving your best.
