The Embedded Systems Laboratory complements the facilities in the Electronics laboratory by providing students with hardware and software tools and technologies which facilitate both the exploration of and development of an understanding of the integration of electronics and programmable technologies in components.
Students have access to specialist computers with the ability to house dedicated boards for specific functions. It contains devices such as programmable turtlebots, robots, micro quad copters and robot dogs. Equipment includes the latest devices for teaching controls, robotics, mechatronics and embedded concepts, allowing students to programme on-board devices and integrate a range of sensor technologies.
The Embedded Systems Laboratory is set within a 208/m2 space, with a max capicity of 88.
