Research is at the heart of the Academy of Diplomacy and International Governance. We are always keen to hear from students who want to develop their own research proposal so if you're interested in addressing complex issues involving modern diplomacy, international security, international business and trade, global communication and information management then pursuing a PhD in our Academy could be for you.
Active research underpins our ability to deliver an outstanding teaching experience at the forefront of our discipline. You will have the opportunity to work with leading researchers and practitioners of diplomacy and related disciplines in order to gain first-hand experience of real-life problem solving.
Loughborough University London benefits from excellent learning and teaching facilities. Our purpose-built lecture theatres and seminar rooms are fitted with the highest quality audio and visual equipment to ensure you can enjoy a truly immersive and stimulating learning experience.
The campus offers a range of versatile workspaces to cater for independent study, group activities and collaborative project work.
You will also benefit from 24/7 access to our campus Library, which has over 5000 print items and access to 1.2 million e-books, journals and research papers via the University's online resources. You will also be able to choose from over 602,000 print items to borrow from Loughborough's Pilkington Library, which can then be delivered to the London campus for free.
We also offer and Inter-Library Loan service, which is a fantastic service for our Research students because it provides access to electronic articles that are not available from Loughborough University Library. This will give you access to thousands of articles from other libraries around the UK and occasionally from overseas that you may need for research purposes. Sometimes these resources can be obtained as photocopies or PDFs which you can then keep.
