Up to forty new awards are offered each year. Awards are open to US citizens who are graduates of US universities to undertake study in any subject leading to a degree at a UK university. Awards are made on a competitive basis and are for one year or two years (renewable for a third year in certain circumstances). The awards cover fares, tuition fees, maintenance, books, thesis and travel allowances.
