Driving forward Loughborough’s sporting legacy in London

Led by Professor James Skinner, the Institute for Sport Business is enabling the world’s top university for sport to collaborate with more dynamic sport organisations and leaders than ever before.

Driving forward Loughborough’s sporting legacy in London
Establishing unrivalled partnerships with industry is a key objective for the Institute, and since the launch of the campus in 2015, the Institute for Sport Business has already secured partnerships with a range of world-class sport organisations, including World Rugby, UK Sport, Team GB, Speedo, Chelsea FC, BT Sport, CSM Strategic and West Ham United Foundation.
These partnerships often have direct benefits for students, including guest lectures, workshops, site visits, internships and work experience. Each partnership supports the Institute to deliver teaching and research that is influenced by the latest developments in the sector, ensuring students and staff continue to operate at the forefront of their discipline.
The campus is situated next to leading sports television provider, BT Sport, as well as some of the world’s most iconic sporting venues. The campus is regularly utilised by elite sports teams during global sports events, such as the UCI Track Cycling World Championships and the World Athletics Championships 2017.

The Institute for Sport Business is strengthening Loughborough’s position as a world-class institution for sport. Our location on the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park has enabled the University to unlock a number of new and exciting partnerships, offering priceless opportunities for our staff, students and alumni.
