Postgraduate Study

Design School

2D and 3D Visualisation MA/MSc

1 year full-time

This is a collaborative programme between the School of the Arts and the Design School.

2D and 3D Visualisation is aimed at practitioners who have existing experience in the field of visualisation and are interested in expanding their understanding of visualisation and developing their own unique approach.

The programme is also equally suited to those who have little experience in visualisation and who see an opportunity in exploring visual opportunities as part of a career change or to provide a competitive edge to their own work.

The programme aims to develop a broad approach to visualisation within an increasingly diverse and competitive market. It provides opportunities to develop a personalised visual language with which to articulate an engagement with visual thinking.

Visualisation through 2D and 3D drawing, modelling, prototyping, and computer-based activity is a focus and feature of teaching and research of the School of the Arts and the Design School at Loughborough University. The programme draws upon these strengths to collaboratively deliver an interdisciplinary curriculum appropriate to a broad range of external contexts.

The programme consists of six modules spread across the calendar year (October to September inclusive). The modules provide a range of visualisation opportunities reflecting approaches to post.
