Civil and Building Engineering
Low Carbon Building Design and Modelling MSc
1 year full-time, 2-5 years part-time
The aim of the course is to equip students with the skills necessary to apply themselves beyond the “business-as- usual” building services design towards innovative, low energy design solutions. Study is undertaken in one-week blocks with individual project work and private study between these periods.
The course comprises eight taught modules of 15 credits each and an individual research project worth 60 credits. For full-time students, the modules will normally be taken as 60 credits per semester together with the Research Project spanning both semesters and the summer period.
The programme is accredited for further learning for CEng and professional membership by CIBSE and the Energy Institute.
