We are passionate about research, which underpins our teaching and provides the most relevant and up-to-date case studies for classroom learning. Indeed, 60% of our research is rated as either “world-leading” or ‘internationally excellent’ in the 2008 Research Assessment Exercise (RAE).

We run five dedicated Research Groups that focus on disciplines across the broad spectrum of business and management: Accounting, Finance and Banking; Human Resource Management and Organisational Behaviour; International Business and Strategy; Management Science and Information Systems; and Marketing and Retailing.

Our research activities cover these key disciplines as well as many additional specialisms, adding distinction to our research agenda.
