Why do I need to bring these documents?
As a result of Home Office requirements, we are required to ensure that every student has permission to study in the UK.
What will you do with my data?
The University will scan your passport and hold this copy securely. This will allow you to register as a student.
If you do not wish the University to hold a copy of your passport, please inform a member of staff when registering.
What if I don’t have a passport?
You will need to provide documents from the eligibility to work list provided by the Home Office. Please see the document 'Full guide for employers on preventing illegal working in the UK' for the full list (note Annex B).
What if I forget to bring my documents?
The University will register you as a student, but this is conditional on you providing the documents within four weeks. You will not be permitted to work for Loughborough University during this period.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact the Doctoral College Office on firstname.lastname@example.org
All new non-UK/EU students will be required to have their passport and visa/Biometric Residence Permit scanned by the University.
