Who are our ambassadors?
Sam has a demanding course in Product Design Engineering, with a placement year spent at Bosch Lawn and Garden Ltd.
I’ve enjoyed being part of a number of communities such as my hall, IMS team, AU clubs, my course, the student’s union staff and now the student ambassadors. These different groups have opened me up to loads of new experiences and I’ve been able to meet loads of new people and made many friends that will last a lifetime.
The ability to work around my busy course schedule was the key driver, as other jobs make it difficult to work around busy deadlines. It’s also very satisfying being able to drum up excitement in younger students.
My skills development:
- My presentation skills have improved through giving talks and presenting to groups of people.
- My adaptability has improved through having to do a range of jobs and work with different groups through events.
- I feel I have become better at engaging younger people through working with a variety of age groups.
It's a great part-time job that will allow you to meet loads of great characters. It is a very social and varied job making it more interesting than other options. I’ve enjoyed being able to share some of the experiences I’ve had whilst being at university.
