An invitation to Leicestershire Constabulary’s public engagement event on campus
January 30, 2012
Staff, students and members of the public are invited to attend a public engagement event being held by the Leicestershire Constabulary at Loughborough University.
It is part of a number of events being hosted around the county to enable the public to gain an insight into the future of the Leicestershire Constabulary and Police Authority.
The event will include short presentations by Chairman of the Police Authority Barrie Roper and Chief Constable Simon Cole on how they propose to tackle the challenges ahead.
It will cover areas such as funding cuts and the potential impact on policing, performance and the introduction of Police and Crime Commissioners.
Hosted by BBC Radio Leicester’s Ben Jackson, there will also be an opportunity to ask questions and raise any issues or concerns.
The event takes place Monday, 6 February in the James France Building, Room CC012, from 6.00pm-8.00pm. Light refreshments will be provided from 5.30pm onwards.
To attend call the Police Authority on 0116 229 8986 or email them at police.authority@leicestershire.pnn.police.uk, stating “Count my view” in the subject field and providing your name, a contact number, your venue of choice and any special requirements you may have.
