April 20, 2010
A PhD researcher in the Wolfson School of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering has won the best paper award at the 12th International Business Conference in Dubai.
Mrs Abeer Pharaon was recognised from the 120 researchers, associate professors, lecturers and professors from 29 different countries who presented at the two-day event. She also received a lifetime fellowship to the World Business Institute.
Mrs Pharaon’s award-winning IMCRC-funded research paper was titled Developing an innovation culture in pharmaceutical organisations and she was delighted to receive the accolade for her work.
“It was a great moment and I’d like to thank Professor Neil Burns for his distinguished supervision and the IMCRC for their funding of this research,” she said.
“Having received the University's certificate as an Ambassador in 2008, I work hard to publicise Loughborough University internationally. This is my third prestigious award of my research period. I am proud to be part of Wolfson School and will continue to be so all my life.”
