We have great facilities here at Loughborough University, here are the details of some that you may be interested in using.
Arts at Loughborough
The arts programme at Loughborough University offers staff access to a broad range of arts activities, either as a member of the audience or a participant. There is an ongoing programme of art events and concerts on campus which members of staff can attend either for free or at a discounted rate.

Campus walks
Loughborough University is set in an attractive campus with plenty of outdoor seating areas and interesting sculptures providing a pleasant working environment.
To celebrate the University's centenary in 2009 six campus walking route maps were created. They include interesting facts about the campus and sites to look out for on the way. The walks range from 25 to 40 minutes in length - an ideal way to spend your lunch break or to wind down at the end of the working day.

Design and Print
Design and Print Services is conveniently located on campus and is available for use by all staff. Print services include poster printing, digital copying in both colour and black and white, printing, laminating, binding and folding.
If you are tackling something more adventurous, Design and Print Services also offers expertise in creative design work, photography, video production and web design and development.

Student Support Centre
The Student Support Centre offers English Language Support primarily to students, however, staff can join classes at a discounted rate.

Food and drink
There are many food outlets on campus where you can buy everything from a takeaway latte to a three course meal.
Some of the coffee bars and restaurants take credit / debit card payments, with some also offering cash back. However, it is easier to load your staff ID card and use this to pay for food and drinks, click here for more details and offers from imago.

IT Services
IT Services supports learning, teaching, research and administration for staff and students. For help, information or advice visit the IT Services website where there is a specific page for new employees for help getting started.

University Library
All university staff can access the University Library for free using their staff card and are able to borrow up to 30 items at a time.
The library holds over 600,000 academic and non-academic books; 19,000 journals (most online) and audiovisual material, as well as providing photocopying, printing and quiet study areas.
Librarians are delighted to help you find the information you need; discover your contact by using the staff list. The library also runs workshops to help staff and students make the most of the information and offer study skills training. You can find details of the workshops here.

It may also be useful to know that the library is also available for reference purposes to the general public. Members of the public should sign in at the Information Desk on Level 3.
The Department of Information Sciences are also based in the University Library.
Mail Room
Mailroom Services is located in the Herbert Manzoni building. Staff can purchase stamps as well as send personal mail including parcels up to 30kg.

Staff development
Loughborough University is keen to provide you with opportunities to develop the knowledge, understanding and skills that you need to deliver your full potential.
Support is provided in a range of ways. There are lots of courses and also more customised approaches to help both you and your team. You should also make yourself aware of the courses that you MUST attend, depending on your role.

Students' Union
The Students' Union is home to a hairdressers, pharmacy, dentist, optician, beautician, shops and bank facilities. You can buy snacks, stationery, sweets, drinks and food.
All staff are more than welcome to use these facilities.
