Loughborough Lightning is the number one Netball Super League side in the East Midlands and were recently crowned 2023 NSL champions.

Loughborough Lightning is the number 1 Netball Super League side in the East Midlands and has been competing in the Netball Super League since its inception eighteen years ago. In the past five seasons Lightning have made it to the final four of each year, including three consecutive Grand Finals, and were crowned Netball Super League Champions in 2023 and 2021.

Lightning take the win over a battling Severn Stars

Loughborough Lightning’s trip to Worcester saw a highly contested game against Severn Stars. With both teams holding second and third place on the league table respectively, the game was not one to be missed.

A ruthless Lightning team performance dominates Sirens in Glasgow.

An away trip to Strathclyde Sirens allowed Head Coach, Vic Burgess to give her Lightning players valuable minutes. She made two changes to the starting seven, with Bella Baylis and Ella Clark replacing Nat Panagarry and Rhea Dixon. Hannah Joseph was provided the captaincy and led the team out in Glasgow.

A highly contested, top of the table clash sees Lightning take another win

This week’s round six, highly anticipated match between Lightning and Thunder certainly did not disappoint, with both teams performing to the highest levels. Each team has now become a familiar favourite within the league, meaning that their contest showcased two strong, structured teams taking to court, yet in the end it was Lightning that came out on top.
