Loughborough University awarded Physical Activity Excellence Award

Loughborough university are one of twelve winners of the first BUCS Physical Activity Excellence Award which was presented at this years’ BUCS conference.

This kitemark award draws upon four areas of evidencing physical activity impact through strategy & planning, research & insight, collaboration & partnerships and implementation & delivery.

The award recognises Loughborough as an institution who has demonstrated commitment and provisions to tackle inactivity. This has been achieved by programs such as Mylifestyle which provides on average 33 free turn up and play sessions for our staff and students per week during term-time. Find out more on the My Lifestyle website.

“We are delighted to be recognised for all the hard work that we put in to recreational sport & physical activity over the last few years. Loughborough Sport is extremely proud of its sporting heritage, but it is nice to receive an award like this for all the hard work the staff & student volunteers, who deliver a world leading physical activity programme, have put in”.
