Loughborough University's Council has made a strategic commitment to environmental sustainability through its research, teaching, enterprise and operational activity.

During 2010 a number of changes to the Carbon reduction targets were announced, the final target being a reduction of 43% in scope 1 and 2 Emissions by 2020. (Based on a 2005 baseline)

These reduction targets have been detailed in the Carbon Management Plan which can be found here ». The CMP also outlines our progress against these targets and our future plans as well as the basis of the calculation for the Scope 1 and 2 emissions detailed in the table below.
