Information Security Training

Information Security

This one hour, online module provides staff with an overview of the key issues concerning data protection and how information can be managed both effectively and securely.

The data and information held by the University and employees underpin our key activities of research, teaching, enterprise and supporting services. The Freedom of Information act (2000) and Data Protection Act (1998) place duties on the University and it's employees regarding the handling and storage of this data. For the University to be legally compliant, and to protect the sensitive data of our students, colleagues and partners, it must be managed and stored securely.

The training is mandatory for all staff and can be accessed by logging into LEARN and searching for Information Security via the 'Navigation' tab. Alternatively, please follow the direct link: http://learn.lboro.ac.uk/course/view.php?id=10921
