Location: External - School of Business and Economics

Availability: All year round.

I work part-time in the School of Business and Economics.  Outside the university, I coach senior managers and their teams at all levels within manufacturing, banking and internet-based companies.

You may be a member of the support staff at Loughborough, a technician or a senior manager.  I love working with people from a range of backgrounds. The topics that people bring have included: current work projects; team dynamics; how to manage their manager; presenting to groups; developing their career; being more effective.

I continue to develop myself as coach.  In 2008, I gained accreditation as an Associate Certified Coach with the International Coach Federation.  I am now a member of the International Society for Coaching Psychology and am a Chartered Psychologist.  I supervise other coaches and am supervised myself.

Depending on what you choose, working with you might include use of personality profiling (e.g. Myers-Briggs Type Inventory or 16PF) or tools such as 360-degree feedback.  These will help you appreciate your own preferred ways of working as well as highlighting others’ preferences.

Amanda's great strength is to make me work hard to find my own solutions. She may have her own point of view (likely) but she very rarely tells me what it is. She is ruthless in leaving silence for me to work and churn to my own solution, prodding and challenging where necessary. I am working on being as disciplined with my own reports!
