Who Should Attend?
This hands-on course is designed for early and mid-career PGRs and early, mid-career and experienced Research Staff.
Course Overview
You've done your literature search, but how can you keep your research up-to-date? This job is made easier by the use of current awareness services.
This session provides an overview of a wide range of electronic current awareness services that enable you to keep up-to-date with newly published information.
Intended Learning Outcomes
Participants will be able to:
- identify the range of methods and sources for keeping-up-to-date with your own research topic and related research disciplines
- locate relevant sources for keeping-up-to-date
- create email alerts and RSS feeds
- evaluate different services and formulate your own current awareness strategy
Other Information
This session is recommended for early and mid-career PGRs and research staff and relates to the Researcher Development Framework's Domain A - Knowledge and Intellectual Abilities
Please bring your Loughborough University usernames and passwords.
Participants must have a good knowledge of how to search for information using databases. Without this prior knowledge participants will struggle to complete the course.
