Olympics perspective and attitudes towards the Paralympics athlete

In 2012, the Library is undertaking a further project funded by the Arts Council. It will be completed as part of the People’s Record work. The People’s Record aims to collect stories about the approaching London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games. It will create a record of the impact of Games on people across the nation.
The peoples record What do the Olympic and Paralympic Games mean to you?
This project is the 4th that the Library has undertaken for the People’s Record and is being completed with the Centre for Olympic Studies and Research. The focus for this will be to capture the experience of being involved with the Games as a volunteer. Digital video recordings will be completed where volunteers will talk about what they have gained through volunteering and what challenges have been involved.
